Nettleingham Audio (Vancouver, WA) Engineer Kevin Nettleingham mastered
renowned Portland, OR World Beat artist Obo Addy's new release entitle
"Wonche Bi", Kay Production's "CJ's Christmas", punk/metal band Five
Cent Refund and Gospel/Hip-Hop singer Dannyelle. Editing and mixing
began on the new Bassoon Brothers release as well as the classical
guitar duo of James Manulele and Foti Lycouridis. Kevin also engineered
basic tracks for jazz pianist extraordinaire Randy Porter at HeavyWood
studios in Lake Oswego, OR
Flora Avenue Studios (Seattle) Producer,engineer Tucker Martine worked on albums with Sanford Arms, Tony Grasso, Orbiter, Mount Analog and Mike Dumavich.
Gropius Mastering (Seattle WA) mastered The Dream Singer opera for
composer Jack Tierney. Vocal tracking and mixing continues on
songwriter Aaron English's debut. Owner, Don Gunn, engineered all
sessions.
Klingon Science Reading Room (Seattle, AlphaQuadrant) has been busy with
Knut Bell tracking his newest cd with pj newman & Jon Stone engineering
and producing. pj had the remote rig up in Friday Harbor to record the
annual Egg Lake Fair, with sets by Daevid Allen (of Gong and Soft
Machine fame) and Randy Hansen. Hot off the press is the Woody Hite Big
Band cd, recorded by pj earlier this year at the Portland Art Museum and
the Race for the Cure disc, out September 16, both on Medikal Records,
which is run by pj & Richard Donin of m3 Productions in Portland. m3
does live benefit cd's at a heavily reduced rate so more money goes to
the charities. So far, we've done 2 for the Portland Art Museum, the
Dove Lewis Animal Hospital, Race for the Cure and the Oregon Epilepsy
Society.
Sessions at Rainstorm Studio (Seattle, WA) included hardcore industrial group
Contingence in for remixed versions of songs on their new release with Paul
Speer mixing and Steve Carter on Pro Tools. Singer-songwriter Marvin Glover
tracked overdubs and did the mixing for his new full length release with
Bruno Modolo producing. Paul Speer mixed the album with Steve Carter
assisting. Producer Bryan Richardson brought singer Bridget Shaw into
Rainstorm for vocal overdubs with Steve Carter handling the engineering.

Stingray Productions (Milton, WA) started tracking with China Davis for
their new full length CD titled The Divine Dream. Ray Tantzen is
producing and engineering with assistance from Linken Olsen. Stingray
also welcomed Hooverfly, who was in to mix their new demo with Ray
Tantzen at the console. Also in was hip hop/R&B producers RTSG to mix
their single Falling In Love. Matthew Philip has begun his solo album
at Stingray, the album will be mainly acoustic with sprinklings of
mandolin, and electric guitar. Garth Olson was also in to transfer his
latest CDs and demos to MP3 for his website. All sessions were
engineered by Ray Tantzen.
C&S Recordings (Seattle, WA and Stockholm Sweden) completed the recording of
a CD featuring the Swedish concert pianist Magnus Svensson. The recording
was made at the Nybrokajen Concert Hall in Stockholm and is being produced
by David Christensen. Scheduled release 11/01.
Audio Logic (Seattle, WA) recorded solo piano tracks with Ken MacFarlane
playing some Bach and Brahms. Jay Johnson was in working on music and sound
effects for an upcoming educational product. VO tracks were recorded for
Rudolph & Sletten Construction. All sessions engineered by Jay Kenney.
Haywire Recording (portland OR) finished mixing an LP for the
band Distracted. Engineer Robert Bartleson also mixed the
Slackjaw LP at Kung Fu Bakery (Portland OR), and mixed the
Woke Up Falling LP at Super Natural Sound (Oregon City OR).
